Daniel WOODCOCK

Dan is an avid kayak bass angler and the proud owner of Southeast Georgia Kayak Bass Fishing. My passion for fishing goes beyond just casting lines and reeling in big catches. It's a way of life that I've embraced wholeheartedly, and I love sharing that passion with others through various channels.

Growing up in a rural country town in southeast Georgia, I was surrounded by beautiful lakes and rivers, which naturally drew me to the water. My early years were filled with countless fishing trips with my Dad and grandfather, where I learned the ins and outs of the sport. Over time, I discovered that I had a particular knack for kayak bass fishing, a niche that combines my love for the outdoors, my sense of adventure, and my competitive spirit.

Founded with the aim of creating a dedicated community for like-minded anglers, Southeast Georgia Kayak Bass Fishing has grown into a hub for everything related to kayak bass fishing. Whether you're a seasoned pro or a curious beginner, there's something here for everyone. We organize local tournaments, provide tips and tricks, and offer gear recommendations to help you make the most out of your fishing experience.

In addition to running Southeast Georgia Kayak Bass Fishing, I also host the "May Contain Fishing" podcast. This platform allows me to connect with fellow anglers, industry experts, and outdoor enthusiasts from around the world. Through engaging conversations and insightful interviews, we discuss various topics ranging from the latest fishing techniques to personal stories and experiences. The podcast is my way of giving back to the fishing community by sharing knowledge and fostering a sense of camaraderie among anglers.

Fishing, to me, is more than just a sport—it's a way to connect with nature, find peace, and build lasting relationships. I believe in sustainable fishing practices and am committed to promoting conservation efforts to protect our waterways for future generations. Education and community involvement are at the core of everything I do, and I'm always eager to learn and grow alongside my fellow anglers. I am a strong advocate for encouraging first responders to take to the water. It’s the perfect way to release the stress that comes with the job and just take time to relax and enjoy nature.
